THIMPHU - PUNAKHA - PARO (Bhutan)

Day 1:  Arrival at Paro and transfer to Thimphu

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport (PBH) and after completing the emigration formalities, transfer from Paro to Thimphu. It is about 50 kms away and 2 hrs drive from the airport.

Arrive Thimphu and check in to your hotel and rest for overnight. 

Day 2:  Thimphu sightseeing - To Paro

Local sightseeing in Thimphu which includes Buddha Point, Tashicchhoe Dzong, BBS Tower, The Memorial Chorten, The Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Library, Centenary Farmer Market, School of Arts & Crafts, Handicraft Institute, Folk heritage museum, SAARC assembly house etc. Transfer from Thimphu to Paro (50 kms/ 2 hrs). Overnight at Paro. 

Day 3:   Paro - Punakha

 After Breakfast transfer to Punakha (85 km/ 3 hrs). En-route visit Dochu la Pass, Punakha Dzong. Overnight stay at Punakha.

Day 4:   Punakha (local sightseeing and over night stay)

Day long excursion through Phobjikha Valley & Gangtey Monastery. Back to Punakha and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5:   Punakha - Paro

Transfer from Punaha to Paro (85 km/ 3 hrs.).

Rest of day / overnight at leisure. 

Day 6:  Paro loca sightseeing

Full day Paro sightseeing including Drukgyal Dzong, Kichulanka Monastery, View of Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Ta Dzong (Museum), Paro Rinpung Dzong, bird view of Paro airport. Overnight at Paro.

Day 7:   Paro excursion and stay

Day long excursion to Chele-La (pass) & distance view of Haa Valley (Border of the Bhutan and China) and afternoon back to your hotel. Overnight stay. 

Day 8:  Check out

 Check out from hotel and transfer to Paro International Airport (PBH).
