Ladakh - the land of high passes

DAY 1:  LEH (Arrival & Stay)

Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh, our representative will meet you at exit gate & you will be escorted to your Hotel.

As per the government rule, it is mandatory to take rest for acclimatization due to high altitude and so, stay at your hotel for the day.

Evening walk with slow pace in Leh Bazaar and visit Shanti Stupa.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

DAY 2:  STAY AT LEH - SHAM VALLEY EXCURSION

(SANGAM, MAGNETIC HILL AND LADAKH HALL OF FAME)

After breakfast embark on a day excursion to the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Sangam View where Indus meets Zanskar River and back to Leh. 

Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 3:   LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA- KHARDONG-LA (TOP OF THE WORLD)

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung la Pass, the highest motorable road in the world (18,380 feet), through Shyok River and reach Hundur by late afternoon. Enjoy Double Hunk Camel Safari in the evening. Arrive Nubra, check in to your hotel / camp and overnight stay.

DAY 4:. NUBRA - HUNDER (DAY EXCURSION TO TURTUK)

After breakfast your journey will start for Turtuk, which is about 80 km / 4 hrs drive from Nubra. It is is a very small village, sandwiched between the Karakorum Range and the Himalayas, and one of the northernmost villages of India which is close to the Line of Control (LOC) between India and Pakistan. It is also called as the last village of India. It is indeed the paradise in itself and the only village in Ladakh, covered with greenery. The valley is known for its amazing landscapes.

Drive back to Hunder. Dinner and overnight in Hunder.

DAY 5:  NUBRA - PANGONG

After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery and drive to Pangong lake via Shayok, Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass (17,350 ft.) - It is the third highest motorable road in the world. 

Spend time at the banks of Pangong Lake which is about 5/6 km wide and over 144 km long and is shared by two countries (25% India and 75% China). Overnight stay at Pangong.

DAY 6:  PANGONG - LEH

After breakfast, leave for Leh. Visit Thikse Gompa or Thikse Monastery is a Gompa affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill in Thiksey approximately 19 km east of Leh, in Ladakh. Proceed to Druk Padma Karpo School in Ladakh, popularly known as ‘Rancho’s School’, is delighted about the fame the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘3 Idiots’ has

brought to it. Overnight stay in your hotel, at Leh.

DAY 7:   CHECK OUT

Morning check out and transfer to the Leh Airport for your onward journey.
