LADAKH - THE LAND OF HIGH PASSES

DAY 1:  LEH (Arrival & Stay)

Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh, our representative will meet you at exit gate & you will be escorted to your Hotel.

As per the government rule, it is mandatory to take rest for acclimatization due to high altitude and so, stay at your hotel for the day.

Evening walk with slow pace in Leh Bazaar and visit Shanti Stupa.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

DAY 2:  STAY AT LEH - SHAM VALLEY EXCURSION

(SANGAM, MAGNETIC HILL AND LADAKH HALL OF FAME)

After breakfast embark on a day excursion to the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Sangam View where Indus meets Zanskar River and back to Leh. 

Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 3:   LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA- KHARDONG-LA (TOP OF THE WORLD)

 After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the highest motor-able road in the world (18,380 feet). Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Diskit, in Nubra Valley. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery's most prominent attraction is the huge Maitreya Buddha statue atop it, which was inaugurated by HH Dalai Lama. Keep driving through Shyok River and reach Hundar by late afternoon and enjoy Double Hunp Bactrian Camel safari in the evening in Sand Dunes. Overnight at Nubra Valley. 

DAY 4:  NUBRA - PANGONG

After Breakfast drive to Pangong lake via Shayok, Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (3rd Highest Motorable road in the world), Spend time at the banks of Pangong Lake. This lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 144 kms long and is shared by two countries (25% India and 75% China). Overnight in Pangong.

DAY 5:  PANGONG - LEH

After breakfast, leave for Leh. Visit Thikse Gompa or Thikse Monastery is a Gompa affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill in Thiksey approximately 19 km east of Leh, in Ladakh. Proceed to Druk Padma Karpo School in Ladakh, popularly known as ‘Rancho’s School’, is delighted about the fame the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘3 Idiots’ has

brought to it. Overnight stay in your hotel, at Leh.

DAY 6:   CHECK OUT

Morning check out and transfer to the Leh Airport for your onward journey.
